Abstract

The report summarizes research performed under Contract N00014-76-C-0234, NR 307-252, during the year 1 October 1980 - 30 September 1981. Research topics include: (1) growth of ice in a wave field, (2) large scale heat exchange and ice production, (3) interaction of solar radiation with the ice and upper ocean, (4) optical properties of ice and snow, (5) generalized radiative transfer modeling, (6) wave propagation and other phenomena near the ice edge.
