Microstates: Pawns in the Global Strategic Balance.

Abstract

This memorandum focuses upon the ability of modern microstates to defend themselves. It considers the military capabilities and geostrategic situation of 57 microstates in several regions of the world. The author concludes that the microstates, the smallest, most neglected and most vulnerable states in the world are destined, because of their military weakness, to be but pawns in the global strategic situation.
