On Kraichnan's 'Direct Interaction Approximation' and Kolmogoroff's Theory in Two-Dimensional Plasma Turbulence,

Abstract

The nonlinear damping in a strongly turbulent convecting plasma computed by Kraichnan's modified direct inteaction approximation and the power spectrum are rederived in a physically transparent form using Kolmogoroff's theory of turbulence. (Author)
