Direct and Neighboring Sensitivity Changes Produced by Red and Blue-White Adapting Fields,

Abstract

Observers viewed Army instrument panel lighting red and Air Force instrument panel lighting blue-white adaptation fields and their thresholds were determined both within the adaptation field and outside of it. In some cases, thresholds were determined while the adaptation field was still on and in other cases they were determined after the adaptation field had been off for 10 seconds.
