MX Siting Investigation. Gravity Survey - Southern White River Valley, Nevada.

Abstract

Results of a gravity survey in the Southern White River Valley of Central Nevada indicates there are major ranges bounding normal fault systems on both sides of the valley. The major system on the east is the Egan fault and is generally close to the mountain block. The western fault system is several miles east of the mountain front. The primary graben block is calculated to be between 5600 feet deep in the north end of the valley and 8200 feet deep near the valley center. (Author)
