Experimental and Numerical Analysis of Axially Compressed Circular Cylindrical Fiber-Reinforced Panels with Various Boundary Conditions.

Abstract

This report presents comparisons between the experimental and numerical buckling behaviors of fiber-reinforced, circular cylindrical panels under prescribed uniform end-displacements. Numerical predictions used in the comparisons were obtained from the energy-based, finite-difference computer program CLAPP. Test specimens were clamped along both curved edges and were either simply supported or unsupported along the straight edges. (Author)
