The Raman Spectra of Phase 3 Ammonium Nitrate

Abstract

The Raman spectrum of phase III ammonium nitrate and isotopomeric materials show that delta (NH2) and nu(N-O) vibrations are coupled together throughout the lattice. This observation may be relevant to both the phase- changes of ammonium nitrate and its explosive properties.
