MM&T: Precision Machining of Optical Components.
Abstract
This second interim technical report describes the results of Option 1 of the contract whose purpose is to establish a commercial manufacturing base for cost-effective production of Army high energy laser and infrared optics and optical support items for Army systems applications. A description of the personnel, machinery and results of the crew training program, a description of the output of the GFP flycutting flat generator, the check out of the facility environmental controls, illustrations of the proof parts assigned for construction on the GFP machine and a description of metrology implementation forms the body of the report.
