The Mutagenic Potential of: Chloroquine Phosphate USP.

Abstract

The mutagenic potential of chloroquine phosphate USP (WR1522) was assessed by using the Ames Salmonella/Mammalian Microsome Mutagenicity Assay. Tester strains TA 98, TA 100, TA 1535, TA 1537 and TA 1538 were exposed to doses ranging from 1 mg/plate to .00032 mg/plate. It was determined that the tested substance did not have mutagenic potential. (Author)
