Identification and Quantification of the Water Soluble Components of JP-4 and a Determination of Their Biological Effects upon Selected Freshwater Organisms.

Abstract

A paper describing the use of C-18 Sep-Pak mini-columns for concentrating JP-4 jet fuel alkylbenzenes is included, and has been accepted for publication. The solubility of JP-4 alkylbenzenes in water of four salinities and at five different temperatures have been measured. The LC 50 and MATC for toluene on fathead minnow embryos, 1-day posthatch protolarvae and 30-day old fish has been determined. (Author)
