Research Program on the Ultrasonic Images of Tissues.

Changes in acoustic attenuation in cat muscle were measured in vivo for the transition period of living to six hours postmortem. In the 0-4 hour period postmortem the data indicated a decrease in attenuation, while in the 4-6 hour period the data suggest an increasing trend. (Author)
