Optimal Alpha-Beta Filtering for Tracking Reentry Vehicles from Shipboard Radars.

Abstract

An optimal filter, equivalent to Kalman filtering, is developed for tracking reentry vehicles from shipboard radars. This filter is simpler to implement than Kalman and is based on the idea of minimizing the mean squared error in the position of the reentry vehicle. (Author)
