Theory and Evaluation of a Windowless Non-Resonant Optoacoustic Cell.

Abstract

A novel non-resonant flow-through optoacoustic cell is characterized. This cell is operated without windows, completely eliminating the window background interference. Data are presented comparing sensitivity, resistance to cross-contamination, and operating characteristics of this approach with more conventional single and differential cell techniques. The capability of operation at widely varying sample flow rates is demonstrated. (Author)
