Reaeration Tests, Enid Lake Outlet Works.

Abstract

This study presents the results of gas transfer tests of the outlet structure at Enid Lake, Miss. Radioactive tracers, krypton-85 and tritium, were used to determine the gas transfer characteristics of the outlet structure. The sampling technique isolated the effects of the outlet conduit, the trajectory between the conduit and the tailwater, and the submerged portion of the stilling basin. Dissolved oxygen measurements were taken in the conduit in an attempt to supplement the radioactive tracer data. (Author)
