Insulation Retrofit under Low-Slope Roofs.

Abstract

This investigation was conducted to identify and evaluate complete systems for applying insulation to the underside of existing low-slope roofs. Criteria were developed to evaluate several systems identified by a market survey. Of the systems evaluated, it was found that only six meet the requirements for this type of application: two are sprayed systems, two are board-applied, and two use proprietary accessories to attach the system to the structure.
