Cluster-Type Superconducting Ternaries.

Abstract

A new series of rare earth osmium-iridium tetraborides has been synthesized, characterized by X-ray diffraction, and studied for magnetic susceptibility over the range 1.8 to 1100 K. Several mixed Chevrel phase systems have been studied for superconductivity and crystallography as a function of replacement and nonstoichiometry. (Author)
