Atmospheric Electricity Hazards Analytical Model Development and Application. Volume I. Lightning Environment Modeling.

Abstract

This report is a review of the state of the art of lightning phenomenology and its electromagnetic environment. All aspects and phases are discussed. A model is chosen for each phase which best describes what is currently known and understood. Computer models for predicting the electromagnetic environment for several of the processes are given, along with numerical predictions. A comprehensive bibliography is also provided. (Author)
