Some Thoughts (and Afterthoughts) on Context, Interpretation, and Organization Theory.

Abstract

Organizational theorists are contrasted in terms of the interpretive perspective. An example is provided from the author's work with police sergeants through which the 'interpretive' method is illustrated. Some commentary on fruitful theoretical directions for interpretive work is provided. (Author)
