The ICOR Model.
Abstract
This report provides an overview of the processes and capabilities of the Integrated Corps (ICOR) Model. ICOR is a two-sided, event-stepped, unit-centered simulation of ground and air-ground combat. It normally is used to simulate a corps size area with battalions as the basic unit represented. Units maneuver in two dimensions over a hexagonal grid with explicit terrain representation. Ground combat and movement is conducted according to operation orders issued by a man-in-the-loop commander and interpreted by automated decision-making processes. Units possess various types of assets, including individual weapons, trucks, supplies, sensors, etc. Processes simulated include ground combat and maneuver, air support and interdiction, air defense, artillery, nuclear warfare, commo, nuclear and conventional supply, and sensors and intelligence collection.
