Abstract

Four Volume Report: I- Executive Summary and main body of final report--findings, conclusions, and recommendations (374 pgs); II-Detailed description of existing command and control organizational structure in CONUS and the candidate alternative organizations (502 pgs); III-Annexes supporting Vol I-- background leading to the study, methodology, 19 supporting sub-studies, minutes of meetings of advisory groups, selected bibliography, glossary (546 pgs); IV-Detailed description of Army Readiness and Mobilization Region (ARMR) concept (66 pgs). Study conducted in Office of Chief of Staff, Army, by 18-man study group. Study objective was to make recommendations to the Chief of Staff, Army, to improve Total Army CONUS command and control capabilities to perform missions during peacetime, wartime, and throughout the transition from peacetime to wartime operations.
