The Effect of Inorganic Particles on Metabolism by Marine Bacteria.

Abstract

Measurements were made of adsorption of organic nutrients and bacteria onto the surface of inorganic particles. The effect of the particles on the metabolism of bacteria attached to surfaces and free in solution was determined.
