Chemical Design of Elastomeric Behavior.

Abstract

High resolution magic-angle proton enhanced NMR spectra have been obtained of peroxide crosslinked polybutadiene and sulfur-vulcanized natural rubber. These spectra allow a determination of the crosslink structure in these elastomers. Chemical modification of the structure of the crosslinks have been made. (Author)
