Abstract

This final report describes the completed research of the coffee policy simulation project. It briefly reviews progress leading to the policy simulation stage, describes the policy simulation procedure itself and present some simulation results. The report traces research activity that has taken place between August 12 and September 14, 1981, and consists of the following parts: model estimatio and testing, model base forecasts, and policy simulation of quota levels. The theoretical specification adopted for the coffee model that provides the basis for the simulations is given in the initial project report: Policy Simulation of the International Coffee Economy: Model Description.
