Broad-Band Mirror-Scanned Surveillance Radar Antenna.

Abstract

New applications and methods of broadbanding mirror scanned antennas to multioctave coverage are discussed. The applications include hemispheric coverage with pencil beams and continuous 360 deg. azimuth scan with vertical fan beams. In these applications, a twist reflector is the only moving part so that multiple stacked beams or multiple band multifunction beams can be easily instrumented. (Author)
