Computer Architecture Study for VTXTS Simulators.

Abstract

This report provides an evaluation of computer configurations that might be applied to VTXTS simulators. Computers ranging from the large, general purpose computer ordinarily used in data processing to the microcomputer which requires 40 separate units to implement a simulator complex are considered. Eleven computer configurations are evaluated with respect to availability, maintenance, expandability, risk and life cycle cost. The information is summarized in a table of advantages and disadvantages of the various configurations. (Author)
