Design of Riprap Revetments for Protection against Wave Attack.

Abstract

Basic information on the design of riprap revetments for protection against wave attack is presented. The topics covered include the selection of armor and filter layers, zero damage and reserve stability, design wave height, wave runup, and the use of armor overlays. Example problems are worked to illustrate the concepts presented. (Author)
