Automated Calculation of Protection Factors for the DI-2-Ethylhexyl Phthalate Respirator Quantitative Fit Test Instrument.

Abstract

An automated procedure for calculating a respirator protection factor is presented in this report. This procedure not only reduces the di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate leak test data, but also calculates a protection factor by using a voltage-to-frequency converter circuit to do time-averaged integration. A computer program has been developed to calculate individual exercise, averaged, and time-weighted averaged protection factors. (Author)
