Investigations of Cavity Designs for a High Power Gyrotron.

Abstract

The scope of the report is the result of investigations for cavity designs of a high power gyrotron. To increase gyrotron output power, consideration was given to increased gun cathode diameters and cavity resonators. The investigations found that ohmic heating and mode competition were two primary problems that must be resolved. (Author)
