Instrumentation for Verification of Bomb Damage Repair Computer Code.

Abstract

Field data on repaired bomb craters must be collected to verify responses of the crater predicted by the bomb damage repair (BDR) computer code. Instrumentation to measure the repaired bomb crater responses due to static and dynamic loads was reviewed. Equipment was recommended and provided to AFESC/RDCR that would allow comparison of predicted and measured responses for BDR code verification. An instrumentation user's manual and a quick-look data report on an instrumentation test performed at North Field, South Carolina, are presented in the appendixes. (Author)
