Angular Exterior Orientation of Airborne Sensors.

Abstract

The results of an investigation into the feasibility of a radar sensor independent method of dynamic calibration by a bore sighted metric camera are presented. Analytic aerotriangulation of oblique photographic imagery containing ground control provide an independent measurement of radar sensor bias errors. Error correction models are generated which provide position and angular corrections to the radar output to be applied in real time over random targets. Utilizing fictitious data, it was concluded that such calibration procedures can be successful and practical and indeed should be further developed. (Author)
