USAFSAM Review and Analysis of Radiofrequency Radiation Bioeffects Literature: Second Report.

Abstract

The objectives of this project were to acquire, review, and analyze, on an ongoing basis, information on research pertaining to the biological effects of radiofrequency radiation (RFR), for the USAF School of Aerospace Medicine (USAFSAM). The method used was to: (1) select documents that are judged to be representative of prior and current research on various RFR-bioeffects topics, (2) analyze in detail the contents of each such document and (3) assess the validity and the significance of the results presented. In this report, the major RFR-bioeffects topics are listed, and the format used for analyzing each selected document is described. The text of each analysis completed was prepared and submitted to USAFSAM in optical character recognition (OCR-B) font, to permit direct storage of the information in a computer at USAFSAM. During the contract period, 80 analyses were completed.
