Assessment--An Opportunity.

Abstract

Reviews briefly the historical development of assessment centers. Describes the dimensions and techniques generally employed in assessment for selection or development. Compares Army officer evaluation system with assessment center techniques. Describes briefly the US Army War College self-assessment program and the potential use of assessment center techniques. Concludes that the potential for use Army-wide and at the US Army War College is great. (Author)
