A thorough analysis and assessment of US transportation capability to support mobilization. Every mode is analyzed from standpoint of trends, advantages/disadvantages of the mode, and limitations impacting on mobilization. The trends and pitfalls of transportation management are also discussed. Essay is thorough and readable.
