A Method for Designing Inlet Distortion Screens for Aircraft Gas Turbine Engine Tests Using an Interactive Computer Program.

Abstract

The design of inlet distortion screens used for testing aircraft gas turbine engines can be facilitated by using an interactive computer program. This report describes a computer program which has been developed by the Naval Air Propulsion Center to aid in the screen design process. The computer program can be used to establish the initial screen design and to develop modifications after the screen is tested. (Author)
