Conformation and Dynamics of Polymers in Solution.

Abstract

A new method for studying polymerization kinetics based on Raman scattering. Our method has selectivity, is reliable and easy to apply, can be automated, and is insensitive to most spurious phenomena. We demonstrate this method by a study of the thermal polymerization of styrene at 60, 75, and 90 degrees C.
