Maneuver and the Operational Art

Abstract

Author examines the rule of maneuver in US Army doctrine. He compares the firepower attrition school and the maneuver school. By means of several historical examples, he shows the importance of using maneuver. He concludes by recommending that instruction in maneuver warfare be emphasized in the Armys education and training program.
