Nurse Shortage: Fact or Fiction?

Abstract

Student discusses supply and distribution of registered nurses in U.S.; evaluates federal involvement and trends in nursing education; assesses the demand for nurses as viewed by health care institutions; and examines the implication that the nurse shortage has on military preparedness. He also offers some proposals to solve this national health manpower issue. (Author)
