Lithium Cycling in Polymethoxymethane Solvents.

Abstract

Solutions of LiAsF6 in dimethoxymethane (DMM) and trimethoxymethane (TMM) are shown to be conductive and capable of cycling Li in high efficiency in half-cells. Inspection of electrolytes stored at 70 C in the presence and absence of Li indicated that TMM is more stable than DMM. However, DMM cycles Li much better than TMM after storage.
