Department of Defense In-House RDT&E Activities

Abstract

This report was prepared by the Department of the Army at the request of the Director of Defense Research and Engineering. The Departments of the Army, the Navy and the Air Force provided comprehensive data on the finances, manpower and facilities of their organizations that perform research, development, test, and evaluation (RDT&E). In addition, they briefly described each activity's mission, current important programs, functions, and equipment capabilities. The statistical data relate to the past and current fiscal years, i.e. 1973 and 1974.
