Optical Computations for Image Bandwidth Compression.

Abstract

This report summarizes the previous year's research in optical processing and optical/digital processing methods for image data compression. The following topics are discussed: (1) Radiometric and spatial transformations to achieve adaptive image data compression; (2) Spatial optical subsampling and spectral/spatial reconstruction for image data compression; and (3) Temporal interframe data compression.
