Trade Associations and Their Environment from an Efficiency Perspective.
Abstract
The nature of the interaction between trade associations and the actors in their environment is explored through a transaction cost framework. It is argued that the market and bureaucracy forms of organizational control fail and a clan will be more efficient when trade associations attempt to get legislation passed. (Author)
