Implementation of the Command Center Network

Abstract

This report describes the implementation process of the Communications substrate of the Command Center Network, a local area network linking various processors in a Navy command center. Front-end processors are used to connect existing command center systems to the network; a gateway provides connectivity to the ARPANET, and a Network Services Manager provides network monitoring and control as well as centralized and/or specialized services.
