System Engineering Analysis of Firemain, Flushing, and Washdown System Installed on LHA-1 and LPH-2 Class Ships

Abstract

The analysis documented herein is specifically applicable to the Firemain, Flushing, and Washdown System--ship's work authorization boundary (SWAB) groups 521-1, 521.2, and 523-1--installed on LHA-2 Class ships. The analysis considers only the systems and equipments installed and the documentation effective as of 22 April 1981. The system was selected for analysis by PERA (ASC) on the basis of its mission critically and historical maintenance burden.
