Establishing Relative Costs in a Complex Training System: A Cost Assessment Model and Its Application in the P-3 Fleet Readiness Squadron Aircrew Training System.

Abstract

Training system decisions are often made without a complete understanding of the impact on system costs. This report describes a model that can be used to estimate and compare the costs of training system components and of potential changes to the components. The model is intended for use by managers of complex training systems who are contemplating changes. The cost assessment model is presented, and is then applied to data available from the P-3 fleet readiness squadron (FRS) aircrew training system. (Author)
