Application of Military Engine Oils in Hydraulic/Power Transmission Fluid Components and Systems.

Abstract

Today the majority of the construction equipment (CCE) and selected material handling equipment (SMHE) utilized by the Army is of the commercial or modified commercial type. Although obvious advantages exist for this policy, certain problems require resolution to make the CCE and SMHE program successful. These CCE and SMHE items have hydraulic systems that use various commercial components and frequently use-commercial proprietary fluids. (Author)
