Preliminary Geothermal Evaluation of the Mokapu Peninsula on the Island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Abstract

Preliminary geological, geochemical, and geophysical field surveys were conducted on Mokapu Peninsula on the island of Oahu in an effort to determine whether sufficient indications of geothermal potential exist within or adjacent to the peninsula to justify further, more detailed, exploratory efforts. Results of the investigation indicate a very low probability of a geothermal resource beneath the peninsula. (Author)
