Results of the First Phase of the ACO Storage Ring Laser Experiment.

Abstract

A superconducting undulator has been installed on the ACO storage ring and operated as a synchrotron radiation source, and as a free electron amplifier. We report measurements of the spontaneous emission spectrum, the gain as a function of the electron energy, and the laser induced lengthening of the electron bunch. (Author)
