An Operational Summary of the BERMEX81-V3 Experiment: 17-19 September 1981.

Abstract

During September 1981, a vertical array of eight hydrophones (VEDABS) was moored in deep water to the south of the island of Bermuda for engineering tests. While the array was in the water, a series of deep, large, explosive charges were detonated and acoustic projector towed on a radial away from the array. This report documents the generalized experimental design, array characteristics, and operational aspects of the experiment. (author)
