The Engineer Effects Module for the STAR Combat Model.

Abstract

This thesis presents an Engineer Effects Module for the Simulation of Tactical Alternative Responses (STAR) combat model. The effects of engineer obstacles on the combat process are important, and the STAR combat model previously lacked the capability to model these effects. Implicit in the construction of the model is the task of modelling the obstacles followed by the simulation of the synergistic effects of the obstacles on the combat commander's actions. The Engineer Effects Module is executed in the SIMSCRIPT II.5 programming language. This thesis serves as both the implementation and running instructions for the Engineer Effects Module for the STAR model. (Author)
