Detection of Solar Five-Minute Oscillations of Low Degree,

Abstract

Solar five-minute oscillations of degree small = 3, 4 and 5 have been observed at the Stanford Solar Observatory, in the Doppler shift of the Fe5124 line. The frequencies and amplitudes are in broad agreement with previous observations of modes with small less than or 3, though we note that there are some systematic discrepancies between the results of different observers.
